Square Enix ended up releasing the Kingdom Hearts series as cloud games on the Switch, and while it wasn’t exactly what fans wanted, there’s always hope for the Switch 2 (and there have even been some rumours).
If you did happen to play through the cloud versions on Switch or are just curious to know what’s up next in the series it’s Kingdom Hearts IV. This title was originally revealed way back in 2022, and in a new update today, the team has issued a reminder it’s “currently working hard” on this new project and will reveal more details “when the time is right”.
